With a function of the blockchain called OP_Return, which works like the memo space on a check, simple messages and text can be embedded within a Bitcoin transaction. Limited to just 80 characters, we sent 68 individual transactions that linked together to create a larger ASCII image. We planted our flag on the blockchain forever and used data in an innovative way to place an ad where no one thought was possible.
